Bob (Bobby or Robert) is one of the Minions. A minion by the same name, having a different appearance, appears in Despicable Me 2, Minions and Minions: The Rise of Gru.
Appearance
Bob is a short one eyed minion with spiky hair. He looks like Carl.
Invention Testing
Despicable Me
Bob was given an anti-gravity serum to test and drank it. He began drifting upwards and out through an open window that Dr. Nefario meant to close and made Gru very angry.
Later, as Gru made his flight to steal the Moon, his space shuttle nearly hit Bob in the Stratosphere, who spotted it coming and frantically tried to move out of the way. A few days later, he had floated all the way out to the Moon (after it had been returned), passing by Vector, who had been stranded there.
Mooned
Shortly after passing by Vector, Bob calls his friends, letting them know he is in space so they can rescue him. However, he is interrupted by Vector who is floating straight towards him, Vector tries to get Bob to move out the way but Bob is too excited now have someone else stuck in space with him after days of being alone. This leads to Bob colliding with Vector and the duo fall back to the Moon's surface, Vector asks if he knows anyway to get back to Earth to which Bob does not know, much to Vector's frustration. Bob tries to engage conversation with Vector but Vector wants to be left alone so he can figure out a way to Earth, after Vector fails to convince Bob, he tries to get him to play "fetch" so he can be left alone, much to Bob's confusion. Bob continues to watch Vector's attempts to escape, finding his failures amusing. Isaac, Chris and Ralph later arrive with Gru's Airship to rescue Bob, Bob tries to get Vector to join them but he is to distracted with finding a way to escape using a space satellite, which leads Vector to loose all his clothes except his underwear, much to Bob and the other minions amusement as they fly off. Vector than flies off in his satellite in the same direction as the ship leading to a collision, and him and the minions ending up on Mars. Despite their predicament, Bob and the other minions remain optimistic singing songs around a campfire they made. After failing to speak to Vector, a green Martian befriends the Bob and the other minions and offers them all a ride back to Earth, they then all aboard the Martian's UFO and fly back to Earth, leaving the unlucky Vector behind.
