Steve Carell, Pierre Coffin, and Rob Huebel are the only actors who reprise their roles from the movie, while Jason Segel and Russell Brand are replaced by Carlos Alazraqui and Jim Cummings, respectively.

- Jason Harris Katz was going to replace Danny McBride as the voice of Fred McDade, but his scenes were cut.
