Despicable Me Wiki:Rules

General General rules applies to all sections below. No profanity. Strictly no discussions pertaining to religious, racial, sexual or political issues. No inappropriate images. No making articles completely unrelated to Despicable Me. Strictly no making of fan-fictions. However, you can add them on this fanon wiki if you want. Or, you can post it in your user blog, your own user page or in the forum section. No spamming. Do not type in all caps, unless you're abbreviating something. This is generally considered as "shouting" at someone and it's also considered rude. Use English language only. (Minionese is an exception, of course!) No bashing or harassing users. No sockpuppeting. Do not impersonate as other users, especially administrators. This could result in a permanent block and the user will be reported to Wikia Staff. Article, Editing & Creating File:Jerry on Computer.jpg Vandalism is absolutely not allowed. This is very simple. No removing content to pages Do not plagiarize. In most cases, this is illegal. No pornography/nude images. Any pictures that contain inappropriateness will be removed from the article. Do not add any information that has nothing to do with Despicable Me unless you are making a reference. You may post it in your user blog, your own user page or forum section. Do not add any opinions in any articles. Make sure you use proper English, or at least make other users understand what you are trying to write. Do not use article pages as a chat page. Do not add unneeded or similar categories; do not add too much categories to an article. Note: Users should see this blog post for editing articles. Images Do not add a picture on an infobox that is dark or doesn't describes the article much. File:LanceWhereTheHeckIsKevin.jpg If there is already an image for the infobox that best describes the subject, do not replace it unless you have a similar image with higher quality. No adding images that doesn't pertain to the article. Do not add malicious images. Do not add inappropriate images. Do not add images that is not related to Despicable Me. No duplicated images. No adding pornography/nude images in any article Do not plagiarize an image that someone already added. Use .PNG format for images if possible, as they use lossless compression. The thumbnails have trouble displaying .JPG format images. Messages Do not threaten, harass or abuse other users. No spamming in user's message wall. Do not complain about being banned from Chat, unless if you have a reasonable reason. Do not send malicious links to anyone, especially links to pornography and inappropriate images. Chat No Private messaging users in a bad way like disrespecting, spamming or cyber-bullying Don't advertise porn. Most users get disgusted by it. Advertising wikis is not allowed. You can only link Community Central and sister wikis (eg: Minionpedia). You can link at Private Messages, but not in the main chat. Don't link other chats unless it is an important matter. No spamming on chat. No discrimination against users. No minimodding (applies for users who doesn't have chat mod rights) Don't give random users mod rights. (Applies for chat mods only) Templates Do not remove needed templates from articles specially the navs. Do not add any template that is inappropiate for the article.example: putting stub on the articles that has many File:Mark.jpeg content already, putting 'needs images"  or "needs more images" on articles which have appropiate images. Strictly no vandalising and spamming templates. Only make templates that are useful to this wiki. Underage Underage is a violation of Terms of Use of the Wikia community. If a user is revealed to be underage, the user will be permanently banned and will be reported to Wikia Staff. Users with Rights Obviously follow all rules above. No abusing power. If you are inactive for 1 month, you may get demoted unless it is for a good reason or if it is a hiatus. Make and keep the rules fair. For those who have Chat Moderator rights, only ban those people who were really misbehaving in chat. Bureaucrats should only give user rights such as Admin, Rollback, Chat mod, Bureaucrat if the user has completed the requirements. Only consider giving users user rights if they made a request in the Forum section. Outcomes If you're wondering what the outcomes are... First Outcome 3 Warnings WHAAAAAT?! Hi there {{{1}}}, Your recent behavior is not tolerated at Despicable Me Wiki. This is your first warning. Thank you for your cooperation. Gru never thinks twice about Freezing someone's head when you are messing with him. Hi there {{{1}}}, Your recent behaviour is unacceptable in the Despicable Me Wiki. Please refrain from doing this. This is your second and last warning. You've got to be pulling on my leg! Hi there {{{1}}}, Your recent behavior is unacceptable and you've been banned for misbehaving in this wiki. Please wait for your ban to be lifted before editing here again. Thanks for your cooperation. After the third warning, it will be followed by the second outcome. Second Outcome You will be blocked for a certain amount of time depending on how serious it is* (1 day—1 year) BLOCKED! Hi, You have been blocked on Despicable Me Wiki for user . If you feel this was unfair, please report it here. Thank you. Third Outcome After (mostly) two blocks, you will be blocked permanently. BLOCKED! Hi user, You have been blocked permanently in Despicable Me Wiki for what you did. Thank you for joining our wiki, and don't come back! *User may also get blocked permanently without getting the second outcome.
