The Box of Shame is a cardboard box which was created by Miss Hattie, with the simple words 'Box of SHAME' on it. Little girls who upset her or misbehave in anyway will get sent there as punishment.

A few things that seemingly weigh more than the strength of a little girl, such as another box with heavy content inside or a thick book, were kept on the box's hood, to prevent little girls from escaping the Box, and a part of the cardboard is also cut off so the orphans little girls could breathe easily, and may also be for giving them food. Usually, the sentence is usually a week
Punishment Tool[]
Margo Gru, Edith Gru, and Agnes Gru were sent to the Box of Shame after being sent back to Miss Hattie's Home for Girls as of a request from Dr. Nefario (possibly due to the girls distracting Gru from his main mission of stealing the Moon). It is unknown why they were forced to sit in the Box of Shame, possibly Miss Hattie believes that they were misbehaving during the adoption.
Penny was also one of the little girls who were sent to the Box of Shame, for trying to escape.

- It is possible that Miss Hattie made a rule for all little girls, to say 'hi' or 'hello' to the orphans little girls kept inside, and for them too to reply.
- When Margo, Edith, and Agnes are possibly punished, apparently the original box is too small, so Miss Hattie makes two other boxes, "Box of SHAME #2" and "Box of SHAME #3", and have three little girls stay in the three boxes.
