“ | Okay, here we are. Home sweet home. | ” |
Gru's House is the home of Felonius Gru, Lucy Wilde, Margo, Edith, Agnes, Gru Jr., and also to the Minions, and Dr. Nefario. Gru's lab is located right underneath. It is unknown what city it is in as it could be a fictitious city.
Appearance and Layout[]
The house, unlike the neighboring track houses (homes that appear similar to others), is made out of brick that is painted eerie black and a roof that is painted purple. It is also somewhat considerably larger. One similarity it does share is that it is a two-story house. The door was originally purple, but is now red.
When Gru first adopted the girls, the front yard had dead, yellow grass and bushes, and weeds growing all over it. Sometime after he took them in, Gru started to take care of the front lawn and now it has green grass and bushes.
The interior is very cavernous. Somewhat like any other house, it has at least two bedrooms, a kitchen with a dining table, an office, and a living room, which contained a crocodile-like couch and an "Iron Maiden". The living room contains a secret elevator shaft that leads to Gru's lab. The elevator itself is activated by a button on a chair that resembles a rhinocerous. The furniture appears to be associated with destructive devices and the foyer was known to have taxidermied animals and multiple torture devices on the walls.
