The song itself plays during a montage when Felonius Gru, having just been kissed on the cheek by Lucy Wilde after a disastrous blind date with Shannon (a friend of his obnoxious matchmaking neighbor Jillian) and realizing his feelings for her, walks back to the Paradise Mall the next day.
This song was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Song at the 86th Academy Awards, but lost to "Down to Earth" from Disney's Pixar WALL–E.
