Lenny the Honey Badger is a minor antagonist turned supporting character in Despicable Me 4.
He is the pet of Principal Übelschlecht.
Appearance[]
Lenny appears as any other honey badger, having a black body with a large white stripe from head to tail, similar to a skunk. He wears a brown spiked collar around his neck with a heart shaped jewel hanging from the middle.
Personality[]
Lenny is fiercely loyal to Principal Übelschlecht and has a mischievous streak even though he is scared of her due to possible abuse. He enjoys causing trouble but is also very protective of those he cares about and is aggressive to the Minions and Gru at first even though he later shows to care for them once he is given milk. Despite his tough exterior, he has a soft spot for the Minions and often joins them in their antics.
Plot[]
Despicable Me 4[]
As the mascot of Lycée Pas Bon, Lenny was unwittingly involved as the target of Poppy Prescott's heist. She teams up with Felonius Gru, his infant son and two minions to steal Lenny. Things go according to plan until Gru Jr. inadvertently releases Lenny from its cage before Gru could sedate it, which turns it hostile as it chases everyone viciously. Gru Jr. was able to pacify Lenny in time by feeding it his beverage, and the crew escape with their loot. Poppy later takes in Lenny as her pet.
The theft-turned robbery of Lenny would not go unnoticed, as Übelschlecht recognized Gru as one of the perpetrators and informed Maxime Le Mal. Poppy and Lenny evade her until Gru, alerted to Übelschlecht's arrival, fights her.
Poppy continues to keep Lenny after Übelschlecht's incarceration.
