Miss Hattie's Home for Girls is an orphanage owned by Miss Hattie. It was the home of Margo, Edith, and Agnes, before they were adopted by Gru. However, as seen how the sisters were treated by Miss Hattie, it is implied that the environment of the orphanage is pretty severe due to her ironhanded management.
Also, one of the funds that support the orphanage is a cookie-selling business held by the little girls.

- The pictures hanging on the walls of Miss Hattie's office show row after row of gloom-faced little girls that have lived at the orphanage. There is no indication of how many little girls had been adopted.
- According to an order form that Margo takes, there are seven flavors of cookies that the orphanage offers: Coconutties, Jam Slams, Chocolate Swirlies, Minty Mints, Caramel Clumpies, Toffee Totes, and Loopy Lemons. A box of a flavor costs $6.
- On Miss Hattie’s computer, you can see the name of the folder “Dr. Renaud Resume”. This is a reference to director Chris Renaud.
