Gru's age in Despicable Me 2[]
- I'm pretty sure that 3 of our real-life years have not gone by between the first film (2010) and the second (2013). Agnes (the youngest of the girls) would've showed considerable signs of growth by that point.

Gru's Birthday[]
Gru was most likely born in October 1964. He was 11 years and 3/4 old in Minions 2, which is implied to take place specifically in July 1976 due to a billboard related to the Bicentennial. October 1964 is 11 years and 3/4 before July 1976, and the weather also implies that the movies takes place in July 1976 instead of February 1976 (which is when Gru would've been 11 years and 3/4 if we're following the age on the page, which claims his birthday is May 1964).
