I agree with this. From what I've heard, this wiki used to be a pit, then there were lots of active admins and it became great, then the admins became inactive so this wiki is sliding down the drain again.
What has made it worse is that the VSTF has refused to take action, even though one of the reported users is a self-proclaimed vandal-only account. If that's not their job, what is?
You got it right. But according to my experience adopting wikis, if none of the admin respond (about which, you should start a blog for public discussion and wait at least a week), you have right to go ahead and adopt the wiki (co-adopt is an option too).
I hoped that the adminship transition to be smooth, but the hiatus is what really happens for months since Dragonknight86 (main admin in 2014-15) and I left. And anarchy shouldn't be forever indeed. But note that I am no longer able to contribute just like I did, sorry. (And the more ironic thing was that Evilquoll did recommend me.)

I know. I adopted Broforce Wiki when only the founder has admin rights but has left after 2013, then I went in and started positively contributing as well as cleaning up, then not-so-active user asked me to adpot the wiki and I eventurally did. The wiki had almost NO active contributors except fot that one so I went straight ahead and waited for a week. I already enabled “Require contributors to log in” because of historical spam. I do need a lot of help since I do not know about css and stuff, and there's a lot to do.
Anyway, back on topic. The currently active bureaucrats should be able to give some admins to help fight vandals, or they just didn't have time to respond.
AO is like this frequency these years, though not so active but a senior-experienced one. I see you and Evilquoll are willing to contribute, and I hope you're ready - AO said he will resign theoretically in August, but actually I recommend you to try to learn more skills about what an admin should be able to do (I basically copy-and-paste when I need to modify CSS)

Great! So for wikis, admins gets changed every few years?
It's great that this community is popular, becuase Broforce is, nah, so desolate and empty. But I never give up on it.
The society of Fandom varies from wikis, but yes, as long as you follow the Fandom rules, everything is possible, including adminship itself.
I don't want to spoil your passion, but when I became admin back in 2016, I was almost the only contributor of this wiki, and I don't know what it means for you if you see the "popularity" can be that you are the most active one.
