Plot
Despicable Me 3
Silas Ramsbottom announces that he is going to retire from Anti-Villain League immediately and the new director will be Valerie Da Vinci, who walks to the middle and Silas praises and gives an introduction of her. Valerie, losing her patience, interrupts his words and pushes Silas under the podium. After he is gone, Valerie then furiously questions Gru. As Gru hangs up the call from his daughter, Valerie goes forward to him, blaming about him being unable to capture Balthazar Bratt, AVL's most wanted villain.
Gru answers that he retrieved the diamond while he was also very close to bring him. Valerie responds, however, that she decides to fire Gru. Lucy, next to Gru, objects her decision and states that she can be fired along with Gru, which Valerie may not want to do so. Eventually, Valerie orders two agents to throw Gru and Lucy out of AVL's blimp.
When Gru is in his way to Bratt's Lair for the diamond with Dru, he fantasizes that after he gets back with the diamond to AVL, she would apologize for her arrogance and passes out with the gem on the ground, while Gru lifts his wife up gloriously.
