Vector lives in a fortress with cameras and security weapons around his house. He is apparently proud of the place as he referred to it as the "Fortress of Vector-tude" when he greets Margo and her sisters.
There is an enormous tank with Vector's shark inside covered in strengthened glass. His home seems to be very high-tech and Vector can do anything with a special keyboard for security, like the scene when Gru tried to get into his turf to steal the Shrink Ray. Vector also seems to have a Nintendo Wii system which can be played on an arc screen in his living room.
Description[]
The house has a large wall perimeter painted white that surrounds the primary building in the center. Two security cameras are located on the walls. Behind the wall and front door, which is locked down with multiple security weapons systems, there is a green growing garden and a miniature moat that goes over a river, which Vector's shark can access at will. Vector's fortress has an emergency escape feature where Vector's Rescue Airship exits out from the top of the fortress. Behind is the Pyramid of Giza, painted blue with two white clouds to disguise itself.
Inside, there is Vector's gigantic shark tank, to where a small flight of stairs lead to the living room that is fitted on top of the tank. It includes a round long white couch with orange covering, a white table and a large television set complete with a Nintendo Wii system. In addition, the spherical roof of the fortress is a control room that allows Vector to fly away as part of his rescue ship.
Later in the movie, heat-seeking missiles can be seen when Vector shoots Gru with all missiles, when the girls arrive at the fortress at first, making Vector think that they want to steal the shrink ray, and when Vector fired three missiles to kill Gru, only for the gate to be hit.
Involvement[]
After having the SR-6 stolen from him, Gru attempts to raid Vector's fortress, although Vector easily defeats him with its defenses. Vector later tries to use the laser on his mouthwash and his toilet in his place, with the latter spraying water from its pipeline, much to his chagrin.

Trivia[]
- Vector's Fortress is also a playable location in Despicable Me: Minion Rush.
- Despite the fortress's security arsenal and missiles being extremely lethal and deadly, as shown in Gru's failed attempt to sneak inside the fortress, he was able to miraculously survive. However, if it happened in real-life, he would have been easily killed.
- After Vector was stranded on the moon, what became of the fortress is unknown, but its possible that it has now become abandoned or disused.
