The Vicious 6 was a notorious team of supervillains who are the main antagonistic group of Minions: The Rise of Gru. Because of their notoriety, this caused them to be on the AVL's wanted list. Their original leader and founder is Wild Knuckles. While he leads the quest to find and steal the legendary Zodiac Stone, his fellow group members to betray him and take the stone for themselves. Days later, the Vicious 6 began auditioning for the a new member to join their group As they saw the AVL as a threat, their ultimate goal was to use the powers of the zodiac stone to destroy the secret organization along with their headquarters.
Felonius Gru is known to be a huge fan of the group as he has lots of drawings, posters, toys, and other merchandise of them in his room. He wants to earn a place in the Vicious 6 as their sixth member, but was ridiculed for his age and small stature and the new leader Belle Bottom believes that a child like Gru cannot be a villain. To prove them wrong, the latter, with the help of a gadget called Sticky Fingers, snatches the Zodiac Stone from them and escapes their secret lair. Inevitably, this caused the Vicious 6 to turn from being his idols to his worst enemies.
After pursuing Gru, they manage to find him in San Francisco and take him captive. After successfully getting the Zodiac Stone back, they use its power to take on the form of some of the zodiac animals, becoming more powerful than ever. However, they are overpowered and defeated by both the Minions and Gru, and they are all turned into rats. Shortly thereafter, the Vicious 6 were arrested by the AVL, who also confiscate the Zodiac Stone.
They make a short cameo in Despicable Me 4, having been transformed back to humans, singing along with other AVL prisoners.
